ABOUT Y.E.S. ACADEMY
Y.E.S. (Youth Excellence and Success) Academy is a summer program for 4th-12th grade students, unique to South San Diego County. Students participate in a variety of courses that promote learning and exploration through instruction and hands-on learning experiences. Y.E.S. Academy fosters each student's ability to learn, grow, and develop their own pathways for future success. For more information on the program, visit Y.E.S. Academy at Southwestern College website

Y.E.S. Academy is recruiting instructors for the following program areas:

1. College for Kids (entering 4th-9th grades): Students in this component of the program are either identified as gifted and talented, hold a 2.8 or B average, or are recommended into the program. Courses are challenging, hands-on, and provide a unique spin to traditional college courses. Although new course ideas are welcome, we are seeking instructors to remotely teach the College for Kids courses found here: Course Proposal

2. Sally Ride Science partnership with UCSD (entering 4th-9th grades): Students in this component of the program participate in unique courses focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Unlike College for Kids courses, students do not need to meet academic requirements to attend. Courses are currently being planned to be held remotely, and will include live virtual meetings, with incorporated hands-on learning experiences.
