  2. Carry out quantitative PCR (qPCR), RT-PCR, and small RNA library preparation for sequencing.
  3. Analyze microRNA expression profiles using targeted assays or high-throughput technologies.

miRNA Data Analysis and Bioinformatics
  1. Analyze miRNA expression datasets (e.g., from RNA-seq, NanoString, or qPCR arrays).
  2. Use bioinformatics tools to identify differentially expressed miRNAs across ischemic stroke and Alzheimer's disease samples.
  3. Perform pathway and target prediction analyses using tools such as Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, TargetScan, or miRDB.

Cellular and In Vitro Functional Assays
  1. Conduct gain- and loss-of-function studies using miRNA mimics/inhibitors in relevant cell models (e.g., neuronal, glial, or iPSC-derived cells).
  2. Assess cellular outcomes such as viability, mitochondrial function, apoptosis, or synaptic integrity in response to miRNA manipulation.

Collaboration and Documentation
  1. Work closely with PI, postdocs, and other lab members to design experiments and troubleshoot protocols.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, protocols, and data files.
  3. Contribute to manuscript preparation, figure generation, and presentations for scientific meetings.
  4. Maintain lab equipment and ensure availability of reagents related to RNA work.
